Besides stellar formation regions and other celestial bodies of great scientific interest, objects outside the Milky Way have also been photographed, mainly: galaxies, quasars, galaxy clusters and interacting galaxies.

A quasi-stellar object or quasar is considered the most distant object that has been captured by the Tonantzintla Schmidt Camera, its distance to the Milky Way is 5 x 10 to 9 light years, classified as: 256 TON
